Mumbai: NCB raids rave party on cruise, children of Bollywood’s leading actors are being investigated

The Narcotics Control Bureau conducted a raid and busted a rave party on a cruise ship in the middle of the sea off the Mumbai coast. The raids are still on and the NCB officials were in the process of registering an FIR under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act. The NCB on Sunday said that children of prominent Bollywood actors are being probed in connection with the raids conducted on Saturday. Sources in the department revealed that around 10 people were detained for allegedly being part of the rave party.

Talking to the media, NCB zonal director Sameer Wankhede said, “No arrest has been made from our side so far.” “We have caught some people. Investigation is on. Drugs have been recovered. We are probing 8-10 people,” Wankhede told reporters. “I can’t comment on it”, Wankhede asked, “were there any celebrities present at the party?”

NCB officials claimed that a few days back, they had received information about a rave party organized on a passenger cruise ship, which was to leave for Goa on Saturday evening. NCB personnel booked tickets accordingly and boarded the cruise ship disguised as passengers.

A source said, “As the cruise ship departed from Mumbai coast and reached the middle of the sea, some of the passengers started taking drugs, following which the NCB officials started their operation and caught them red-handed.”

According to ANI, “Three women hailing from Delhi have been brought for questioning at the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) office in Mumbai in connection with the raid on a rave party on a cruise off the Mumbai coast.”

Officials said cocaine and other synthetic drugs were found in their possession, which were later confiscated during the raids.

Meanwhile, NCB officials arrested Agisialos Demetriades from Goa on 25 September, led by NCB raiding the cruise. He happens to be the brother of a Bollywood actor’s girlfriend. NCB caught him from Goa for the third time and commercial quantities of hashish and cocaine were recovered from him.
