Mumbai Cruise Drugs Case: Model Munmun Dhamecha Released From Jail – World Latest News Headlines

Fashion model Munmun Dhamecha was released from the Byculla Women’s Jail here on Sunday, three days after she was granted bail in the cruise drugs case in which she was arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) on October 3.

The Bombay High Court on Thursday granted him bail along with co-accused Aryan Khan and actor Shah Rukh Khan’s son Arbaaz Merchant.

On Friday afternoon, the HC made available its operative order in which it 14 conditions of bail imposed Aryan Khan on Merchant and Dhamecha stipulated their release on a personal bond of one lakh rupees each with surety of one or two equal sums of money.

After completion of the bond process, Dhamecha’s release was ordered in the bail box outside Byculla jail late on Saturday evening.

Dhamecha’s lawyer Ali Kashif Khan said on Sunday, “He has been released from jail after completing all the legal formalities.” Now we are filing an application before the NCB seeking permission to go to Madhya Pradesh as he is from there.

His co-accused Arbaaz Merchant, who is lodged in Arthur Road jail, is yet to be released.

Aryan Khan, who was lodged in Arthur Road Jail after his arrest in the case, returned home on Saturday.

The high court, in its detailed order, had asked Aryan Khan, Merchant and Dhamecha to appear at the NCB’s Mumbai office every Friday between 11 am and 2 pm to record their presence.

On 2 October, the NCB raided a cruise ship bound for Goa off the Mumbai coast and claimed to have seized drugs on the ship.
