Mumbai: City crime branch 25-year-old Sohrab Qureshi has been taken into custody for allegedly stabbing a 55-year-old fruit vendor to death in a tap market. South Mumbai,
The incident happened on Saturday morning.
Police Said that there was some dispute with Qureshi’s deceased 55-year-old Babuji Qureshi over the payment of purchase and sale of fruits.
He allegedly stabbed Babuji and his 30-year-old son Chhotu Qureshi with a knife. Babuji died. Chotu is being treated at JJ Hospital. The murder took place on the roadside in the market area at around 9.40 am on Saturday. The accused fled the spot after stabbing the father-son duo.
Crime Branch team led by Inspector Vinayak Chavan, after getting secret information about the accused, took him into custody. Malwani, He was handed over to JJ Marg police station where a murder case was registered.
