Mumbai: Anti-Narcotics Cell (ANCMumbai Police has arrested two persons for possessing charas worth Rs 68.74 lakh from suburban Chunabhatti here.
The accused Neeraj Kumar Choudhary (23) and Mukesh Kumar Saha (24) are members of an inter-state gang operating from Bihar and are involved in distributing narcotics to their customers in Mumbai, the official said.
Based on a tip-off, A.N.C. worli unit was arrested Chowdhary and coHe told that VN Purav Marg of Chunabhatti was roaming suspiciously in the area.
ANC Deputy Commissioner of Police Datta Nalwade said that the police have recovered 3.437 kg of charas worth Rs 68.74 lakh from both of them.
The accused had bought drugs from their associates in Bihar and were selling narcotics to their clients in Mumbai, he said, adding that a local court has sent the two to police custody till August 17.
