Mughal Gardens To Open For Visitors From Saturday — Check Booking Process & Other Details

New Delhi: Spring is that time of the year when nature is at its best with flowers blooming all around. Gardens and parks in the cities become favorite picnic spots for people. And speaking of popular places to spend leisure time, what better place than the Iconic Mughal Gardens.

The Rashtrapati Bhavan on Thursday issued statement saying that the Mughal Gardens in Delhi will open for the general public from February 12 to March 16.

However, this year the visitors will be required to make prior online bookings to visit the place. The decision has been taken keeping in view the Covid-19 pandemic. Last year too, the government as a precautionary measure had adopted the e-ticket method to allow entries into the garden.

Advance bookings to visit the Mughal garden can be made through -https://rashtrapatisachivalaya.gov.in or https://rb.nic.in/rbvisit/visit_plan.aspx.

The annual “Udyanotsav” of Rashtrapati Bhavan was inaugurated by President Ram Nath Kovind himself on Thursday.

“The Mughal Gardens will remain open for the general public from February 12, 2022 to March 16, 2022 (except on Mondays which are maintenance days) between 1000 hrs to 1700 hrs (last entry at 1600 hrs),” read the statement released by Rashtrapati Bhavan.

The Mughal Garden will open for visitors at 10.00 am and close by 5.00 pm. The last entry to the garden will be at 4.00 pm.

The public is required to follow all Covid-19 protocols like wearing of masks, thermal screening at the entry gate and maintaining social distancing.

Unlike a few tourist attractions, people will be allowed to carry mobile phones but water bottles, briefcases, handbags, ladies purses, cameras, radios, transistors, boxes, umbrellas, arms and ammunitions and eatables will not be allowed.

The highlight of this year’s Udyanotsav will be 11 different types of tulips expected to bloom in phases during February.
