Sharing the anecdote, Harbhajan Singh told that MS Dhoni became very emotional during the team dinner.

Veteran Indian spinner Harbhajan Singh went down the memory lane and recalled the story from 2018 when he saw Mahendra Singh Dhoni crying. Harbhajan, who played with Dhoni at Chennai Super Kings for three years, said he saw MS Dhoni crying at dinner after CSK returned to the IPL after serving a two-year ban. The legendary wicket-keeper batsman started his IPL career with CSK but after the Yellow Army was banned for the 2016 and 2017 seasons, he joined Rising Pune Supergiant for a few seasons.

Sharing an anecdote, the veteran spinner said that Dhoni got very emotional during the team dinner as he is very fond of CSK.

“There is a story I want to share. In 2018, when CSK returned to the league after a two-year ban, there was a team dinner. I have heard the saying that ‘men don’t cry’, but MS Dhoni cried that night. He got emotional. I think no one knows about this. Okay, Imran (Tahir)?,” Harbhajan said on Star Sports/

During the same panel discussion, another former CSK star Imran Tahir said that Dhoni treats the team as a family and it was a very emotional moment for all the players.

Tahir said, “Yes, of course.” Team as his family. It was very emotional for all of us.”

CSK made a sensational comeback in the league and won the IPL title in the 2018 season with an emphatic performance despite being tagged as ‘Dad’s Army’.

“We came back after 2 years and won the trophy. And when people give your team the tag of ‘budhe’ (old man), and I was also in the team that season, but we won the title. I am very proud of that win,” Tahir added.

Dhoni has once again managed his resources well this season as CSK qualified for the playoffs despite several injuries in their camp.
