MP vs MUM, Ranji Trophy 2022 Final Day 3 Highlights: Patidar, Aditya Srivastava keep MP going after Dubey’s departure

Patidar backs him, invincible at 27.

After bowling Mumbai out for 374, Sarfaraz Khan scored a brilliant 134, his fourth century of the season, Dubey and Himanshu Mantri made a stubborn 47-run opening stand, keeping the fast bowlers at bay and trying to settle against them. Afterwards, Dubey welcomes a left-arm spinner Shams Mulani full boundary between mid-wicket and mid-on.

Then, it was Mantri’s turn to face Mulani, dancing down the pitch and hitting him for back-to-back sixes, then driving him through short cover. After tea, pacer Tushar Deshpande trapped the minister in front of the stumps. Shubham came out and started with three fours against Deshpande and Dhawal Kulkarni.

Despite Deshpande getting some help out of the seam and with extra bounce, regular boundary-taking for Sharma and Dubey set the tone, with Mulani often being taken to the cleaners. With both the batsmen looking rock-solid and facing 131 and 65 balls respectively, Madhya Pradesh are likely to take an upper hand over Mumbai on the third day.
