MP: Muslim man donated land for the tomb of Jain monk in Neemuch – Henry Club

In Singoli, Neemuch district of Madhya Pradesh, a Muslim man donated his land for the last rites of a Jain monk in a new way.

Jain priest Muni Shree Shantisagar passed away on Thursday and as per religious belief, former president of Singoli Nagar Panchayat Ashraf Meo alias Guddu, a part of land on Neemuch-Singoli road was found suitable for his last rites, the followers said. Said on Monday.

He said that though members of the local Jain community offered Guddu a huge amount of money for land for the last rites of the sadhu, he declined.

“Money doesn’t matter to me. It is my good fortune that a Jain monk’s samadhi will be built on my land. I am getting calls congratulating me for setting such a fine example of communal harmony and brotherhood in Singoli.

Manish Jain, the official of Jain Singoli Samaj, told that the last rites of Muni Shri Shantisagarji were performed on the land of Guddu.
