Navjot Sidhu, who resigned from Punjab Congress President, has been attacked by Shri Anandpur Sahib MP Manish Tewari. He said that those who do not understand Punjab, they are solving the issues. Tiwari expressed concern over the situation in Punjab. He said that the current situation in Punjab is unfortunate. If anyone would be happy to see the atmosphere of instability in Punjab, then it is Pakistan. They must have thought that in these unstable conditions of Punjab, they would get an opportunity to carry out black designs.

Tiwari said that Punjab is a border state of Pakistan. It should be in safe hands. Election is definitely one aspect but national interest is above all. There is an urgent need to restore political stability in Punjab. Tiwari also appreciated Captain Amarinder Singh. He said that Amarinder Singh understands the politics of Punjab very well. Tiwari is considered close to Captain Amarinder Singh. Tiwari was also opposed to making Sidhu the head of Punjab Congress.

Peace in Punjab came due to the sacrifice of 25 thousand people
Tiwari said that being a Member of Parliament from Punjab, he is very worried. The incidents happening in Punjab are very sad. This peace has come with great difficulty in Punjab. After fighting terrorism, about 25 thousand people sacrificed for peace in Punjab. In which there are many Congressmen who sacrificed their lives.

Big threat looming over Punjab
Tiwari said that the manner in which the Taliban captured Afghanistan. In that sense, along with Kashmir, Punjab is also facing a great threat. In this situation, one should rise above party politics. I did not feel any minister, advocate general or officer, I should rise above this. We should think about the people of Punjab and the farmers who have been fighting for a year.
