The QR codes will be printed at the Security Printing Corporation of India.

The Madhya Pradesh government on Monday decided to install QR-coded holograms on liquor bottles with over 20 security features to check its smuggling and illegal trade.

He said that the decision was taken in a meeting held during the day under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, who asked the officials to amend the relevant laws to ensure stringent punishment to those involved in the illegal liquor business.

He said, “QR codes will be printed in the Security Printing Corporation of India. This will help in tracking the liquor bottles. The CM also directed the officials to form a special investigation team to eliminate the illegal liquor trade in the state.” “

The CM said that strict action should be taken against those involved in this business and neighboring states should be helped to eliminate this problem from the root.

Incidentally, in the past few days, at least seven people have died in Mandsaur and four in Indore after consuming suspected spurious liquor.
