MP Finance Minister Jagdish Devda Presents Budget Of Rs 3,14,025 Crores For Welfare Of State

New Delhi: Madhya Pradesh Finance Minister Jagdish Deora on Wednesday presented a budget totaling Rs 3,14,025 crore for the welfare of the state amid uproar by opposition Congress leaders over LPG price hike. The budgeted amount for this year is 12 per cent higher than last year’s budget which was Rs 2.79 lakh crore. Presenting the budget, Finance Minister Deora said, “The budget of our government will establish new dimensions of prosperity and development in the state in Amrit Kaal.

This budget aims to give new power, new direction and confidence to women, youth, farmers, poor and common people. Similarly, Rs 660 crore for women self-help groups (SHGs) in the state, Rs 467 crore for Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana, Rs 300 crore for food grant scheme for special backward tribes to tackle malnutrition, Rs 300 crore for maternity 400 crore is proposed. A budget of Rs 10,182 crore is proposed for the construction and maintenance of roads and bridges in this financial year.
