In a veiled attack on the BJP, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Wednesday said former Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) ministers Manish Sisodia and Satyendar Jain were arrested to “stop good work” in the national capital.
Addressing a press conference after meeting AAP MLAs and corporators, Kejriwal alleged that Sisodia’s arrest in the excise policy matter was just a ruse, and asserted that the new ministers—Atishi and Saurabh Bhardwaj—should continue the good work of the government. Will move forward at double the speed. ,

Asked if there would be a deputy chief minister, Kejriwal said, “If the need arises, we will see.”
AAP will campaign door-to-door against the arrest of ministers
The Chief Minister said that AAP will do door-to-door campaign, go door-to-door and talk to each and every person about the wrongdoings of the BJP. He said, ‘We will explain to them how the PM is going to extremes like Indira Gandhi. People will answer, they are watching everything and are angry.
Sisodia was arrested by the CBI on Sunday evening in connection with alleged corruption in the formulation and implementation of the now-cancelled liquor policy for 2021-22. A special court in Delhi on Monday sent Sisodia to five-day CBI remand in the excise policy case to enable the agency to get “genuine and valid” answers to the questions being asked from him for “proper and impartial investigation”.
Sisodia was handling most of the 18 portfolios. Now his portfolios will be handled by Kailash Gehlot and Raj Kumar Anand.
Satyendar Jain, arrested by the Enforcement Directorate in May last year in a money laundering case, also resigned from the cabinet. Even after his arrest, Jain continued to be a minister in the Delhi government but without any portfolio. His portfolios including Health, Home and Urban Development were handed over to Sisodia.
