Avalanches occurred at two places in Himachal Pradesh’s Kinnaur and Lahaul Spiti on Thursday. 263 roads have been closed due to heavy snowfall in the state.

After January 28, the rainy season may start again in Rajasthan. This time, the Meteorological Department has issued a yellow alert for these districts, expressing the possibility of hailstorm in 13 districts including Jaipur along with rain. After two days, this change in the weather will happen due to the activation of a western disturbance. Its effect will remain in many parts of the state on January 29 as well.

The minimum temperature in Churu was recorded at one degree Celsius today. The temperature here was at 5.5 degree Celsius a day ago. Madhya Pradesh: Holiday for schools in Ujjain, Shajapur due to rain

Himachal Pradesh: Avalanche in Kinnaur and Lahaul Spiti, Indo-Tibet Highway closed for 2 hours

Avalanches occurred at two places in Himachal Pradesh’s Kinnaur and Lahaul Spiti on Thursday. The Indo-Tibet National Highway was blocked for about 2 hours due to snowfall in Tinku Nala around 10 am. In the afternoon, an iceberg fell on the left bank of the Chandra Bhaga river in Lahaul. This stopped the flow of the river for some time. Due to snowfall in the state, 263 roads including 3 NH are closed. This is affecting the movement of people. Out of these, about 115 roads are closed for the last 15 days due to snowfall.
