Mouni Roy Wedding: The bride chose Payal Singhal’s yellow lehenga for the mehendi

Mouni Roy started her pre-wedding celebrations in blue Bollywood style. The wedding rituals began on January 26 with a haldi and mehendi ceremony and friends from the industry joined in the fun with their desi tadka.

The Haldi ceremony was held in the morning followed by the Mehndi ceremony which took place in the evening. According to sources, Mouni is going to tie the knot with her boyfriend Sooraj Nambiar on January 27.th, The source reveals, “Mouni Roy and Sooraj Nambiar will tie the knot in an intimate ceremony at the Hilton Resort in Candolim, Goa. Considering the current situation, the haldi and mehendi of the couple was also a private affair with their immediate inner circle of close family and friends. The source further added that their friends have come from different parts of the country and the world to join the couple for this big day.

While the haldi ceremony took place in the morning, the mehendi ceremony took place in the evening at the Hilton Resort in Candolim, Goa. According to an Instagram story posted by Neha Swami Bijlani, wife of Arjun Bijlani, the couple was seen sitting in a huge pot filled with yellow flowers during the Haldi ceremony. Mouni wore a white and gold lehenga set with her boyfriend Sooraj on the occasion and paired it with a white dupatta. Styled by Anuradha Khurana, Mouni completed the haldi look with floral jewelery including maang tikkas, earrings and haath phools.

Like a ray of sunshine, for the mehendi ceremony, Mouni wore an anklet singal ensemble consisting of a yellow lehenga skirt adorned with free flowing gray tassels. The skirt also featured minimal floral motifs. She paired the skirt with a fully embroidered sleeveless bodice that featured cowrie shells around the neckline. She completed the look with a pair of maang tika and chandbalis. Her Mehndi look was styled by Rishika Devnani.

Surrounded by friends from her industry including actors Arjun Bijlani, Mandira Bedi, Omkar Kapoor and Jiya Mustafa, the actress was seen grooving to ‘Mehndi Laga Ke Rakhna’ during the mehendi ceremony. Both the celebrations were set against the beautiful backdrop of the sea where the family and friends of the couple enjoyed the festivities along with some foot thumping Bollywood music.
