BJP national president JP Nadda alleged that the agenda of Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi, top leaders of INDIA bloc’s key constituent Congress, was to “abuse and disrespect” Sanatan Dharma
The Gandhis (Sonia and Rahul) are still silent on DMK leader Udhayanidihi Stalin’s controversial remarks, which shows that “both mother and son have formulated an agenda to insult Sanatan Dharma”, alleged BJP national president JP Nadda on Friday.
“Nowadays, there have been many talks on Sanatan Dharma. On September 1, this ‘INDI alliance’ held a meeting in Mumbai. On September 3, their strong ally DMK chief’s son Udhayanidhi Stalin insulted Sanatan Dharma… Till now, Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi are silent on this… I allege that both mother and son have formulated an agenda to insult Sanatan Dharma at the Mumbai meeting, which is handed over to the DMK and other parties…” he said at the flag-off ceremony of the second ‘Parivartan Yatra’ (March for Change) poll-bound Chhattisgarh’s Jashpur.
The BJP hit out at opposition bloc INDIA, alleging that the agenda of Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi, who are top leaders of the Congress, was to “abuse and disrespect” Sanatan Dharma. Nadda also targeted chief minister Bhupesh Baghel and asked him to clear his stand on Udhayanidhi’s remarks.
Like Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who accused the state government of being corrupt, Nadda also said the ruling Congress was involved in scams. Repeating the prime minister’s words, he said those who did not even spare ‘gau mata’ (cows) in corruption (referring to alleged scam in cow dung procurement scheme), “will they spare people”?
Nadda further alleged that Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge’s son Priyank Kharge, who is a minister in the Karnataka government, also “attacked” Sanatan Dharma while another Tamil Nadu minister did the same.
“What should we understand from this? Sonia Gandhi is silent till today on the issue. Rahul goes all over the world and talks about the Constitution, but avoids saying even a single word on it (Sanatan issue). My allegation is that the mother-son duo handed over the agenda abusing and disrespecting Sanatan Dharma in the Mumbai meeting to the DMK and other parties (of INDIA). Actually, it is the agenda of Sonia and Rahul,” he said.
