Anti-Gangster Task Force of Punjab Police has got a big success. They arrested Charanjit Patialvi, the most wanted terrorist of Babbar Khalsa International. He was absconding for the last 12 years. He was hiding after changing his name to avoid the police.

This terrorist was living as a granthi in a Gurudwara in Bengal. The police have also claimed that the terrorist was involved in the 2007 Shingar cinema bomb blast case in Ludhiana. The AGTF team arrested him from Derabassi.

Court had given a fugitive agreement

AGTF DIG Gurpreet Singh Bhullar told that Charanjit Patialvi, a resident of village Buta Singh Wala of Patiala, was a fugitive by the court. A case was registered against him on 23 July 2010 in Machiwada under Explosives Act and Unlawful Activity Act. His other accomplice Gurmail Singh was caught with detonator and RDX.

Bengal ID cards found
He told that Patialvi was arrested from near Gurdwara Sahib in Lali village of Derabassi. He was presently living in the Gurdwara Sahib in Kharagpur, West Bengal as a granthi. He was not using mobile or any other communication device for the conversation. Police have got different ID cards of West Bengal from his possession.

DIG Bhullar told that Charanjit Patialvi was an active member of terrorist module of 2010 in Babbar Khalsa International. Through this module, a bomb blast was carried out at Shingar Cinema in Ludhiana in 2007. The second blast was done in Kali Mata Mandir Patiala and Ambala. The rest of Patialvi’s accomplices were caught in 2010 itself.
