New Delhi: Over 2.16 lakh doses covid-19 vaccine ,CorbewaxThe Union Health Ministry said on Wednesday the first day of the vaccination campaign for this age group was administered to children in the age group of 12 to 14 years.
Vaccination Started against Kovid-19 in the age group of 12-14 years biological EIntramuscular vaccine of Corbevax, two doses of which are to be given at an interval of 28 days.
According to officials, vaccination for this age group picked up speed around 3 pm on Wednesday.
As of March 1, 2021, there were 47 million children in the age group of 12 and 13 in the country.
The Center has asked states to conduct dedicated COVID vaccination sessions through designated centers and train vaccinators to avoid mixing of vaccines during immunization of children in the 12-14 age group.
