MYSURU: The Mysuru city police have extended additional security to opposition leader Siddaramaiah as he checked into his hometown on Thursday for a two-day visit.
Staff from the city police commando unit Chamundi were deputed to provide additional security cover to Siddaramaiah who has come to the city for the first time after he was attacked with an egg during his visit to Kodagu district last week leading to a row. Meanwhile, Siddaramaiah hit back at chief minister Basavaraj Bommai for asking if he was a Satya Harischandra. “What else can be expected from those who are now being accused of involvement in corruption? Those in power will try to counter me as they have no issues,” he told reporters. tnn
