The Punjab Police on Wednesday reconstituted the Special Investigation Team (SIT) probing the murder of singer Sidhu Musewala, under the watch of the Anti-Gangster Task Force (AGTF) chief, to expedite the probe into the murder case. Additional Director General of Police Pramod Ban heads the AGTF.

The state police had termed the incident as a case of inter-gang rivalry and said that Lawrence Bishnoi gang was behind the murder. Goldie Brar, a member of Canada’s Bishnoi gang, has claimed responsibility for the murder.
