Component:

Wheat flour: 1 cup

Moong Dal: 1 cup

Red chili powder: 1 tsp

Turmeric: 1 tsp

Coriander leaves: 2-3 tbsp

Salt: as per taste

Method for making Moong Dal Roti:

To make this roti, first clean the lentils. Soak it in water and keep it for 60 minutes. Then put the soaked moong dal in the pressure cooker and add turmeric, water and salt as required. After this, boil the lentils in the cooker till 2-3 whistles. Then turn off the gas and let the pressure of the cooker release on its own. When the pressure of the cooker is over, separate the water from the lentils and take them out in a bowl. When the dal cools down, add green coriander to it.

Now take wheat flour in a vessel and add red chili powder and a pinch of salt to it. When the spices are mixed in the flour, knead the dough by adding water slowly to it. Knead the dough and make balls out of it. Now take a ball and roll it from all sides. After this, keep a little pulse in the middle of the roti and fold it and roll it again.

Keep the griddle on the gas to heat it. When it becomes hot, put moong dal roti in it and cook on medium flame. Start frying the roti from one side till it becomes crispy. If you want, you can also bake the rotis with oil and make parathas.
