Bhubaneswar: Chief Secretary Suresh Chandra Mohapatra In view of the recent surge, on Tuesday, the Information, Education and Communication (IEC) campaign on Kovid-19 was emphasized to intensify.
Reviewing the IEC campaign on COVID-appropriate behaviour, Mahapatra Said that the IEC campaign against COVID-19 is equally important for proper management of the pandemic.
“As many patients are in home isolation, they should be informed very clearly about the norms of isolation, daily care like measuring oxygen level, where to contact doctors for advice, necessary precautions to be taken, From And not about the process of availing emergency services like ambulance and hospitalization in times of emergency and not,” Mohapatra said.
“People should also be told how to take care of the elderly, pregnant women and people with co-morbidities. The IEC campaign should also contain the telephone numbers of persons whom a patient in home isolation can contact for availing health services,” he said. The modalities to intensify the campaign through print, electronic, social media, cartoons, hoardings and wall writing were discussed during the meetings.
