malayalam superstar Mohan Lal He turned 63 on social media on Sunday, with birthday wishes pouring in for the actor from all quarters, including politicians and his colleagues in the film industry. One of the most versatile actors in the film industry and has acted in over 350 films in various languages. The hashtags #HBDMohanlal, #HBDLalettan and others were trending on the internet as wishes poured in from politicians, film personalities and fans. Malayalam megastar Mammootty, his son Dulquer Salmaan and actors Manju Warrier, Tovino Thomas, Aju Varghese, Unni Mukundan, Prithviraj Sukumaran, Shweta Menon and Shine Tom Chacko.

Mohanlal has been awarded the Padma Shri in 2001 and the Padma Bhushan in 2019, India’s fourth and third highest civilian honours, for his contribution to Indian cinema. He also became the first actor in the country to be awarded the honorary rank of Lieutenant Colonel in the Territorial Army in 2009. Mohanlal’s first film was ‘Manjil Virinja Pookkal’ in which he played the role of a villain. ‘Ram: Part 1’ and ‘Burroughs: Guardian of Da Gama Treasure’ are his upcoming films and are in various stages of post-production.
