Mohammed Shami Ruled Out of Bangladesh ODIs After Hand Injury-Report

The source said, ‘Mohammad Shami has an injury in his hand which started after starting training after T20. World Cup in Australia. He has been asked to report to the NCA and has not traveled with the team on December 1.

“Shami’s absence in the three ODIs is certainly a factor, but the bigger concern is his absence in the Tests, where he has to lead the attack in Jasprit Bumrah’s absence,” the source said.

Shami would have been the most experienced fast bowler on the Bangladesh tour, which also featured players like Rohit Sharma, KL Rahul and Virat Kohli Return to action. Also, he had a big role to play in Test cricket where India is preparing for the World Test Championship next year in June.

Shami has taken 216 wickets in 60 matches in Test cricket.

Umran Malik is one of the fastest bowlers in world cricket. He recently made his ODI debut in New Zealand where he played two matches and took two wickets.
