Mohammad Siraj will be India’s No. 1 bowler in the coming times: Harbhajan Singh

experienced person India Spinner Harbhajan Singh gave his opinion on India’s probable bowling attack for the upcoming Test series against South Africa. India will tour the Proteas with a red-ball competition from December 26 for a three-match Test series and five ODIs. The hosts have already announced a 21-man squad for the Test series, while Team India is yet to name its players.

South Africa have picked Kagiso Rabada, Enrique Nortje and Lungi Ngidi for their fast-paced track. The Paes trio has rich experience of playing against Indian players in the Indian Premier League.

Harbhajan feels that Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Shami, who were rested from the New Zealand Test, will definitely make a comeback for South Africa. The veteran pacer feels that Mohammad Siraj will bowl with the senior pair as Harbhajan said that he is going to be India’s No. 1 bowler in the future.

“Mohammed Shami, Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammad Siraj… What a great bowler. In the coming times, he will be India’s No. 1 bowler. With that, I think Shardul Thakur will make a comeback because in South Africa you need a fast bowler who can bat as well. Along with them, we will definitely see R Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja playing and probably, Axar Patel can be seen working with them too,” Harbhajan said on his YouTube channel.

The 41-year-old further spoke about India’s emphatic win over New Zealand in the second Test.

“Good for Team India to win the Test series against New Zealand which looked completely different than the team that came out at the time. World Test Championship final,” said the India off-spinner.
