Modi’s Mission Vaccination: Poonawalla said after meeting with PM – target of 100 crore doses was met because of Modi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi held an important meeting with the heads of companies making vaccines on Saturday. Representatives of 7 other companies, including CEO of Serum Institute of India, Adar Poonawalla, which manufactures CoveShield, attended the meeting.

Adar Poonawalla’s father Cyrus Poonawalla said after the meeting that if the Prime Minister had not focused on vaccination and the Health Ministry was running it, then 100 crore doses would not have been administered today.

After the introduction of 100 crore vaccine doses in the country, the PM inquired from the vaccine manufacturers about their experiences. Along with this, he also discussed with them about advancing vaccine research. On Thursday, the 100 crore vaccine dose mark was crossed in the country. After this many programs are being organized. The Prime Minister also talked about intensifying the vaccination and supplying it to poor countries.
