In view of the situation in Ukraine, a meeting of the Cabinet Committee of Security (CCS) was held under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi. After the meeting, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh said that the issue of getting all Indians back home has been discussed. The entire focus of the government is to bring its people to the country. He said that we wish that the situation in Ukraine should be normalized soon. Apart from the Prime Minister, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar, Home Minister Amit Shah, NSA Ajit Doval and senior officials of the Ministry of External Affairs and Defense were present.

Defense Minister Singh further said that External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar has spoken to the Foreign Minister of Ukraine. We are trying to bring back all our students. According to sources, India’s move to UNSC, the latest state of war, international developments, the reaction of world leaders have been discussed in the CCS meeting.

India said in UN – peace is the only option
Earlier on Saturday morning at the UN on Ukraine dispute, India asked Ukraine-Russia to resolve the issue through dialogue. During the censure motion in the Security Council, India said that life cannot be valued by anything. Both the countries should start talks and solve the problem. India boycotted voting during this period.

Efforts continue to bring Indians from Ukraine
On 23 February, before the attack in Ukraine, an Air India plane carrying 242 people reached Delhi. On February 24, Russia attacked Ukraine, after which the movement of aircraft there was stopped. On Saturday morning, another Air India plane left for Mumbai carrying 219 Indians from Budapest, Romania. This will be the first batch after the war that will reach India.

The central government has decided to send four more aircraft to bring back the Indians. Here, the Indian Embassy in Ukraine has issued a new advisory for its citizens. It has been said in this that people should not leave the house towards the border unless permission is received from the Indian embassy.
