Prime Minister Narendra Modi has reached Jammu and Kashmir today on National Panchayati Raj Day. In Samba, PM Modi reached the stage and greeted the people with folded hands and bowed his head. Here the PM laid the foundation stone and inaugurated development works worth more than Rs 20,000 crore. The PM said that a large number of youths of Jammu and Kashmir will get employment with these efforts. Democracy has reached the roots of Jammu and Kashmir under the Modi government.

Addressing the public meeting, Modi said, “Neither this place is new to me nor I am new to you.” It is a matter of happiness for me that today a project of 20 thousand crore rupees related to connectivity and electricity has been inaugurated here.
The PM said that in the Amrit Sarovar Abhiyan, the target is to build 75 Amrit Sarovars in every district.
Get the foundation stone of Amrit Sarovar done by the martyr’s family
The nectar period of independence is going to be the golden period of India, the role of Gram Panchayat is important in this. Understanding this role of Panchayats, we have started Amrit Sarovar Abhiyan. Under this campaign, we have to prepare 75 Amrit Sarovar in every district by August 15 next year. Also, the neem, banyan, peepal plants in the gram panchayats, name them as martyrs. On the other hand, if the foundation stone of any Amrit Sarovar is to be laid in the Gram Panchayat, then get it done by the hands of the martyr’s family.
Removing distance is our priority- PM
PM Modi said, when I talk of Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat, then our focus is on connectivity, it is also on erasing distances. Whether it is of hearts, language, behavior or resources, it is our priority today to remove them.
Schemes are implemented in Kashmir within a month
After independence, Kashmir remained untouched by development for many years, but the Modi government has come and fulfilled the dreams of Baba Saheb. The schemes of the Center are being implemented rapidly. Earlier the file used to move from Delhi and it used to take 3-4 weeks to reach Kashmir. Now in such a time, plans are implemented in Kashmir.

The Prime Minister also launched a new initiative named Amrit Sarovar during his visit to Jammu and Kashmir. The PM had tweeted and said, ‘I look forward to inaugurating the Amrit Sarovar initiative, a collective effort to rejuvenate our water bodies and preserve every drop of water. It aims to develop and rejuvenate 75 water bodies in each of the districts of the country.
Banihal Qazigund Tunnel is 8.45 km long.
Banihal-Qazigund Road Tunnel inaugurated
PM inaugurated the Banihal-Qazigund Road Tunnel built at a cost of over Rs 3,100 crore. According to the PMO, the 8.45 km long tunnel will reduce the road distance between Banihal and Qazigund by 16 km and reduce the travel time by about one and a half hours.
Foundation stone of three road package of Delhi-Amritsar-Katra Expressway
Apart from this, PM Modi laid the foundation stone of three road package of Delhi-Amritsar-Katra Express to be built at a cost of over Rs 7,500 crore. These are for construction of 4/6 lane access controlled Delhi-Katra-Amritsar Expressway. Under this, on NH-44 from Balsua to Gurha Bailadaran, Hiranagar; Gurha Baildaran will be from Hiranagar to Jakh, Vijaypur and Jakh, Vijaypur to Kunjwani, Jammu, Jammu to Jammu Airport.
Ratle and Kwar hydroelectric projects will be built on Chenab river.

Prime Minister laid the foundation stone of Ratle and Kwar Hydroelectric Project. 850 MW Ratle and 540 MW Kwar Hydroelectric Project will be constructed on Chenab river in Kishtwar district at a cost of about Rs 5,300 crore and over Rs 4,500 crore.
In order to further expand the network of Jan Aushadhi Kendras in Jammu and Kashmir and to provide good quality generic medicines at affordable prices, 100 centers have been made functional.
PM will inaugurate 500 kW solar power plant in Palli Panchayat.

PM also inaugurated 500 KW Solar Power Plant at Palli. This will make it the first panchayat in the country to become poly carbon neutral.
