Modi on top again: Indian PM ranked No. 1 with 71% rating in survey list of 13 world leaders, US President Biden got 43% rating

The global popularity of Prime Minister Narendra Modi has come to the fore once again. PM Modi has been selected at number one in the Global World Leaders list during a survey. The Prime Minister got 71% approval rating in this list, while other global leaders along with him have lagged far behind in terms of rating. This rating has been released by Morning Consult Political Intelligence.

The heads of state of America, Canada and Australia remained far behind
Prime Minister Narendra Modi, while being at number one in this list, also left behind the heads of states of powerful and developed countries like America, Canada and Australia. US President Joe Biden got 43% rating and is at No.6. Canadian President Justin Trudeau also got 43% rating points, but he is placed after the US President. Australian Prime Minister Scott Morrison has got 41% approval rating.

President of Mexico at number two, PM of Italy at number three
Second on the list is Mexican President Andrés Manuel López Obradar, who got 66% approval ratings. He is followed by Italian Prime Minister Mario Draghi, who has got 60% ratings.

Narendra Modi was on top in November too
Even before this, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has left other leaders behind in the popularity list of world leaders. In November last year also, he was selected at number one in the Most Popular World Leaders Survey.

Modi’s rating is still lower than in 2020
Even though Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been at number one this time also getting the highest approval rating, but his rating has still come down compared to the year 2020. Morning Consult in its May 2020 report gave PM Modi an approval rating of 84%, while the website downgraded his rating to 63% in May 2021.

According to Morning Consult, the latest approval ratings for global leaders are based on data collected between January 13 and 19, 2022. These ratings are based on 7-day moving averages of adult citizens of each country. However, the sample size taken for this has been different in terms of population of each country.
