Prime Minister Narendra Modi has reached Germany to attend the 48th G-7 summit. During this he was welcomed by a Bavarian band in Munich. His visit will be of two days. Here PM Modi will hold meetings with more than 12 international leaders and will participate in more than 15 programs. The summit will run from 26 to 28 June. He will also visit the United Arab Emirates (UAE) after attending the summit.

Ahead of his Germany-UAE visit, PM Modi had said that he would hold bilateral meetings with the leaders of the countries participating in the summit. Apart from this, he will also interact with the people of the Indian community in a community program in Munich, Germany.

PM Modi had said- I will visit Schloss Elmau in Germany at the invitation of German Chancellor Olaf Scholz for the G-7 summit under the German Presidency. He said it would be a pleasure to meet the German Chancellor during his visit.

PM to participate in two sessions of G-7
PM Modi will mainly participate in two sessions of G-7. The PM said that climate, energy, health and food security and gender equality will be the most focused on the summit. Apart from this, India’s stand on the Ukraine-Russia war, the situation in the Indo-Pacific region is also likely to be discussed.

The hotel in which the summit is not air-conditioned

The summit will take place in the Schloss Elmau Palace, located in the valley of Bavaria on the Austrian border in the far south.

The hotel where the conference is going to be held does not have an air conditioner. The palace has an eco-friendly cooling system, where the temperature is maintained at 8 degree Celsius. The hotel has also hosted the G-7 in 2015. There are 47 Presidential Suites to host, which are outside the main hotel. It’s called the retreat. The PM will leave for UAE on June 27 from Germany.

G-7 is a group of seven countries
The G-7 group is a grouping of the seven richest countries in the world, currently headed by Germany. The group includes Britain, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan and the United States. Countries like Argentina, Indonesia, Senegal, South Africa have also been invited.

US President Joe Biden, British Prime Minister Boris Johnson, French President Emmanuel Macro, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and many other top leaders are participating in this meeting.
