Elections have been announced in UP. Elections will be held in the state in 25 days in 7 phases. Also, the Election Commission has banned rallies, meetings, padyatras, cycle tours, street meetings, road shows in the state till January 15. The reason for this is attributed to the third wave of Corona. Due to this, political parties will have to do online campaigning for at least the next 7 days, but BJP will not make any difference to it. Its biggest star campaigner Prime Minister Narendra Modi has already completed his work by playing rallies one after the other in the state even before the announcement of the election date.

PM Modi held rallies in every area of UP during the last one and a half months from November 16 to January 2. From Purvanchal to West UP, 14 election rallies were organized by the PM. On the pretext of these rallies, he inaugurated the foundation stone of all new projects. His last rally was proposed on January 9 in Lucknow. It was being said that only after this rally, the Election Commission will announce the dates for the elections. But the third wave’s bullishness canceled this rally. As a result, the Election Commission also announced the dates of the elections by holding a press conference two days in advance instead of 10 January.

Will it be called a coincidence or something else… Voting will start from the Meerut where Modi held his last meeting.

During his visit to Meerut, Modi had worshiped at the Aughadnath Temple (Kalipaltan Temple). It was from here that the revolution of 1857 started.

During his visit to Meerut, Modi had worshiped at the Aughadnath Temple (Kalipaltan Temple). It was from here that the revolution of 1857 started.

In the first phase, voting will be held in 58 seats in 11 districts of UP. These districts are Meerut, Aligarh, Agra, Mathura, Shamli, Muzaffarnagar, Baghpat, Ghaziabad, Gautam Budh Nagar, Hapur, Bulandshahr. The PM did his last rally in one of these in Meerut. Here the PM laid the foundation stone of the Sports University. The district is surrounded by Baghpat, Muzaffarnagar, Ghaziabad, Hapur, Bulandshahr, Shamli and Gautam Budh Nagar, which are directly affected by Meerut.

These areas are strongholds of farmer voters, who are said to be angry with the BJP. In such a situation, it is clear that Modi’s last rally was to persuade these voters. Now from there the Election Commission has started the election. Earlier it was also being said that this time elections will be held from Purvanchal in UP. Modi had held the first public meeting in the state on 16 November in Sultanpur. Purvanchal Express was inaugurated here. Here elections will be held in the fifth phase.

Leaders of the Opposition could not hold large gatherings

  • Priyanka Gandhi Active in the state since last one year. But could not hold a big rally. I am the girl, I can fight… driving the campaign. Along with this, Pratigya Yatra has also been taken out. But some time ago he canceled his trip due to Corona. At the same time, Rahul Gandhi has not been able to hold a single public meeting in UP. Although Priyanka has almost covered the entire UP.

He also held more than 25 meetings during the Vijay Yatra. Almost every area of the state is covered. But could not hold large public meetings. However, in UP, Akhilesh was left alone from the SP side, as there is no other big face in the state other than him.
  • BSP supremo Mayawati least active. He has held only one rally and three meetings so far. Apart from this, there have been 5 press conferences. Mayawati kept waiting for the elections for the rallies. But now due to Corona guidelines, we will not be able to hold a big rally. This time questions are also being raised about his activism in the electoral field.
