‘Kashmir Files’ is tax free in Bihar
The film ‘The Kashmir Files’, made on the issues of exodus of Pandits from Kashmir, was made tax free in Bihar from March 17. This was demanded by BJP MLC Sanjay Mayukh, on which slogans of ‘Bharat Mata ki Jai’ were raised in the house after the assurance of Deputy CM Tarkishore Prasad. The film was made tax free in Uttar Pradesh, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Haryana and Karnataka before Bihar.

Congress opposed this decision. Congress MLC Premchandra Mishra said, ‘This film is not going to give any social message, it is not even for Bihar. It is completely politically motivated. Merely paying tax free will not solve the problems of Kashmiri Pandits. What is being done for Kashmiri Pandits? It is necessary to see this. At the same time, senior RJD leader Shivanand Tiwari said, ‘BJP people are demanding that the film on Kashmir should be made tax free in Bihar. I demand Chief Minister Nitish Kumar to see the film himself first.
