‘We yellow you centner’ became the top trend on Twitter as Twitterati showered love on the New Zealand all-rounder.
Chennai Super Kings won their fifth Indian Premier League title by defeating Gujarat Titans on Tuesday. It was a nail-biting finisher and Chennai managed to add another trophy to their cabinet after Ravindra Jadeja hit a six and a four off the last two balls to seal the deal for his team.
Jadeja’s winning shot became a moment for the history books as the stadium was packed to capacity despite the match being delayed due to rain in Ahmedabad.
Fans on social media lauded Chennai for being one of the most consistent teams in the history of the league, as with the title win they equaled Mumbai Indians for the most IPL trophy wins – 5.
Meanwhile, later in the day, CSK all-rounder Mitchell Santner started trending on Twitter after a fan asked other users to trend the New Zealand star. ‘We yellow you santner’ became the top trend on Twitter.
Santner has been a part of Chennai Super Kings since IPL 2019 but due to the bowling combination that MS Dhoni prefers and the limitations of overseas players in the XI, he hasn’t got many chances throughout the year.

He was signed by CSK in the IPL 2022 Mega Auction for INR 1.9 Crore. Although he got to play only six matches last season. Whereas this year too it was almost the same as he played only three matches in the title winning campaign.
The New Zealand all-rounder has played only 15 matches in his IPL career and has taken just 13 wickets and scored 22 runs.
