In the coming days 30 Union ministers will also visit Telangana.” The Telangana government has made up its mind to overthrow the KCR government and this is the reason why lakhs of people of Telangana participated in Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Sankalp Yatra.

According to him, the recently concluded BJP national executive meeting in Hyderabad also had a positive impact on Telangana, emphasizing that it has led to a debate between party leaders and cadres to pick the ruling Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) in the next. increased the level of trust for Election. On the first day three-four hundred people participated in the Sangram Yatra. You are the chief minister of the state who is saying that BJP has no strategy. If BJP has no strategy then how is it The language used by CMs in power in 18 states is very shameful, ANI quoted Bandi Sanjay as saying.

Undeclared ’emergency’ in India: KCR

Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao said on Sunday that an “undeclared emergency” was going on in India. “Indira Gandhi had courage enough to declare an ’emergency’. But today there is an undeclared emergency in India.” Addressing the media, KCR, as he is popularly known as the Chief Minister, clarified that he is going ahead with his plans for a national political party.

Welcoming the recent observations of the Supreme Court on the plea of former BJP spokesperson Nupur Sharma, he said, “The Narendra Modi government should go and a non-BJP government should come.” IANS quoted him as saying, “Justice Surya Kant and Justice (JB) Pardiwala, I salute you. Please keep this spirit to save India. The judiciary has to save the country from these traitors, demons and dictators.”

He took a dig at the prime minister and recalled his pre-election promise to get back the black money stashed in Swiss banks, saying, “Instead of reducing black money, today there is far more money in Swiss banks.”

BJP eyeing southern boom in 2024 Lok Sabha elections

The BJP appears to be aggressively reaching out to the southern states of the country including Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Karnataka and Kerala. The BJP is currently a major player in Karnataka, emerging as a serious player in Telangana, a marginal player in Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh, and almost non-existent in Kerala.

Despite being largely seen as a North and West Indian political party, the BJP successfully found its footing in the eastern parts of the country. A recently held National Executive in Hyderabad has indicated that the party is moving to tap the region in time for the next general elections in 2024.

After 18 years, the event garnered much attention in Telangana, where the party is projecting itself as the principal opposition to the ruling TRS led by KCR and his family. In the Hyderabad meeting, the top BJP leaders also discussed the southern strategy in detail.

Last week, the central government’s list of Rajya Sabha candidates included one personality each from the states of Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Telugu. Somewhat unheard of till now, the development generated much discussion in public and political circles.

In the south, it is the only place with 131 Lok Sabha seats (including Puducherry and Lakshadweep) where the BJP can seek new seats after establishing itself in its traditional strongholds of north and west India. When BJP came to power in 2014, it got only 22 seats from this region. In 2019, the BJP grew marginally from the South to 30 seats, of which 25 Lok Sabha victories came from Karnataka alone.

A BJP leader told IANS that in 2024, the party will have to significantly increase the number of seats. The Congress, its main rival, has almost lost relevance in most parts of the southern states, with the BJP jumping in for murder in states such as Telangana, Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh. Of the five states, Karnataka and Telangana make the most promises to the BJP.

With 28 and 17 Lok Sabha seats respectively, the BJP has benefited from growing communal differences in two states with substantial minority populations. With 39 Lok Sabha seats in Tamil Nadu, the prevailing Dravidian sentiments have so far prevented the BJP from making its presence felt, but with the increasing conversion activities of Christian groups and the rise of Muslim fundamentalist activities, the party is gaining support in some parts. State.

Though there are 25 Lok Sabha seats at stake in the state of Andhra Pradesh, the BJP has never been able to make a mark here. Here too, incidents of temple vandalism have often been the main target of the BJP by the party targeting Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, a Christian.

The BJP has so far been content to play a second role to the dominant regional player, the TDP, which broke away ahead of the 2019 elections. In 2014, the BJP won two seats in alliance with the TDP and Jana Sena Party. It secured a vacant position in 2019 fighting on its own. Currently, the BJP has tied up with actor Pawan Kalyan’s Jana Sena Party and is hoping that the three parties will come together before the 2024 elections.

Of the 130 Lok Sabha seats in the South, the BJP has not crossed 30 seats so far. Targeting a third term in power and securing a big win in the southern states will make a big difference to the BJP in 2024.
