Jammu: G Kishan reddy, Minister of State (Home) visited on Friday Border Security Force (BSF) Frontier Headquarters Jammu and Sr. reviewed the security situation along the International Border (IB) with B S f officers in Jammu
The BSF PRO said, “On his arrival, the Union Minister was received by NS Jamwal, IG FTR Jammu and later he presided over a meeting with FTR IG and other BSF officers.”
He said, “First of all he paid tribute to the martyrs of BSF who made supreme sacrifice for the unity and integrity of the country. country and later addressed a watchdog conference, where around 250 BSF officers and other personnel were present.
“Speaking on the occasion, Union Minister Reddy lauded the capabilities of BSF personnel, who work in different conditions, be it snowy areas, or hot desert areas, or difficult areas of the Rann. Raw or malaria-prone areas or naxal-prone areas.”
He said, “The Minister emphasized that the BSF, being the first line of defence, is performing excellent duties along the International Border especially at Jammu IB and is very successful in eliminating threats from the counterpart, Be it infiltration, tunneling, smuggling or drones.”
The Minister said that the BSF is doing its duty round the clock in extremely difficult and difficult conditions, but has successfully met the challenges.
Reddy told the audience that it is a matter of pride for him that women guards are sitting among the jawans and are serving along the border with equal zeal and enthusiasm.
The Minister lauded the recent success of the Jammu Frontier in which BSF personnel were able to eliminate infiltrators from across the border, capturing a large amount. drugs and the detection of underground tunnels on the Jammu border.
The Union Minister also lauded the BSF for shooting down a Hexacopter coming from across the border carrying arms and ammunition at the Samba border.
The Union Minister also said that due to the tireless efforts of PM Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit ShahThe BSF has been provided with modern weapons and state-of-the-art technology to effectively defend India’s international borders against new threats.
He also said that the PM and HM are working relentlessly to provide all possible assistance to the BSF jawans. In this regard various welfare schemes like Ayushman Bharat, Skill Development have been started under the guidance of PM.
The Minister wished BSF great success in all its future endeavours and expressed great confidence in its capabilities. He also presented baskets of fruits to the soldiers.
“A memento was presented to the minister by NS Jamwal, IG BSF Jammu on behalf of Jammu Frontier,” he said.

During the presentation, IG BSF explained the threats and challenges along the Jammu border and the robust Border Supremacy Plan of BSF to counter these challenges.
