Revenue Minister of Punjab Government Brahmshankar Zimpa.

In Punjab, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government has doubled the fines for breaking traffic rules. Now the revenue minister of the government, Brahmashankar Zimpa, has opposed this. Zimpa said that I am not in favor of making the challan expensive. The wrongdoer should be taught instead of punished. He said the government should change this. However, there is no response from the government on this yet.

Give chance to the wrongdoer: Revenue Minister
The more the fine is, the more the vehicle is. So the wrongdoer should be given a chance. He should be told that in future he will not get a driving license. He said that the government needs to change this fine. If someone is fined 10 thousand then he will get upset. I will ask for a loan from someone. This is not right. The government does not enforce its own words.

Government increased this fine

  • Overspeed was first fined 1 thousand in the first time and 2 thousand in the second time. The government increased it and made a rule of 1 thousand fine and DL suspension for 3 months in the first time. In the second time, 2 thousand fine and DL will be suspended for 3 months.
