Milind Soman completes his 8-day barefoot run at the Statue of Unity

Actor-model and fitness enthusiast Milind Soman never forgets to workout. At 55, he continues to defy the laws of aging. The actor has completed an eight-day barefoot run of 420 km on the 182-metre tall statue of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, the Statue of Unity, located on the Sardar Sarovar Dam in Kevadia, Gujarat. Milind started running from Shivaji Park in Dadar, Mumbai on 15th August and completed it last Sunday. His wife Ankita Konwar also covered a distance of 28 km with him.

Milind covered this distance by running about 60 km daily. The fitness enthusiast battled heavy rain, flooded roads, scorching sun and high fever to complete the race. Eight months later he came on the road to escape. Prior to this, Milind has been a part of many marathons.

His just-concluded campaign was to promote the nationwide Fit India and Swasth Bharat campaign launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Recently, Milind shared a then and now post while taking a stroll down memory lane. He posted a recent picture and a still from the song ‘Made in India’, which released 26 years ago. “26 years later… time passes,” he captioned the post, surprising social media users with his physique.

On the professional front, Milind was last seen in the web series “Four More Shots Please!” was seen in Dr Amir Warsi as The series also featured Kirti Kulhari, Sayani Gupta, Bani J and Maanvi Gagroo along with Prateik Babbar, Lisa Ray, Neel Bhoopalam, Simone Singh and Amrita Puri.

The actor has announced that he will judge the second season of the reality show ‘Supermodel of the Year’ Malaika Arora and Anusha Dandekar.
