Meta says COVID booster shots no longer needed for employees in US offices

(Reuters) – Facebook owner Meta no longer requires a COVID-19 booster for employees to enter its offices in the United States, a company spokesperson said on Friday.

The social media company previously said that all employees returning to the office must present proof of their booster jabs, while the company monitored the status of the Omicron version.

“We updated our requirements in early March to align with CDC guidance, and no longer require a COVID-19 booster for admission, although strongly recommended.

The primary vaccination requirement (1- or 2-shot series) remains in place,” said META spokeswoman Tracy Clayton.
