producer of Katrina Kaif And the Vijay Sethupathi-starrer on Monday announced the push for the film’s release. The film is now releasing eight days before its scheduled release date. Tips Films official took to their social media handle to share the announcement and informed that the film will now hit the big screens on 15th December. It was earlier scheduled to release in theaters on December 23. The film is directed by Sriram Raghavan, who is known for directing blockbuster films like Badlapur and Andhadhun.

In the post, the makers mentioned that they have decided to reduce the wait for “Christmas Cheer”. ”#MerryChristmas releasing on 15th December 2023 in cinemas near you,” the makers wrote in the caption.
The post also featured a new poster of the film, which featured the lead cast as well as a popular yellow-black taxi car, which is mainly used in Mumbai. It also shows some night views of popular places in Mumbai like Regal Cinema and Jupiter Bakery in Mumbai.
A catchphrase is also being highlighted in the new poster, which says, “Raat jitni sangeen hogi, subah itni colori hogi.”
Apart from Katrina and Vijay, Merry Christmas also stars Sanjay Kapoor, Radhika Apte, Tinu Anand, Aditi Govitrikar and Vinay Pathak in important roles.
