Mental health: this is what Prince Harry wants you to do

Amid the COVID-19 pandemic, a new trend has developed in Western countries, particularly in the United States, where employees are voluntarily quitting their jobs to focus on their mental health. The event has been called the “Great Resignation”. Prince Harry is delighted to see this new development. The Duke of Sussex also spoke about the need to celebrate the “great resignation” because leaving an unhappy job is good for one’s mental health.

Harry, who stepped down from his royal duties last year, made the remarks during his recent interview with Fast Company magazine.

He also acknowledged that job resignations during the pandemic are “not all bad” before adding that it is a sign that “self-awareness comes with the need for change.”

“Many people around the world are stuck in jobs that did not bring them joy, and now they are putting their mental health and happiness first. This is something that should be celebrated,” said the 37-year-old mental health- Promoted focused startup BetterUp.

Harry’s comments on the “great resignation” have sparked a major debate on various social networking sites. While some praised the former royal for speaking out about the issues, others termed her out of touch.

Responding to Harry’s statement, a user said, “As you all know, I wholeheartedly agree with Prince Harry.”

“Prince Harry is absolutely right when he says you should give up a job you no longer enjoy and that hurts you in favor of your mental health,” said another.

“Not everyone has the privilege or luxury that he or she has to make that kind of decision. There’s usually no waiting for another job,” read an argument opposing Harry’s statement on Twitter.

Harry joined tech startup BetterUp, an eight-year-old San Francisco-based company valued at $4.7 billion, in March 2021 as its chief effects officer.
