The Meghalaya authorities on Thursday introduced that it has determined to launch Rs 122 crore for the cost of 4 of 5 months of pending salaries of Sarva Sikha Abhiyaan (SSA) college lecturers who’ve been agitating. “We’ve determined to launch Rs 122 crore as grants in direction of cost of 4 out of 5 months of pending salaries of the lecturers, instructing in Sarva Sikha Abhiyaan faculties throughout the state,” Tynsong mentioned. Of this, Rs 78 crore is launched from the corpus fund of the state authorities. This cash could be given by the Centre, he mentioned.

The Centre supplies 90 per cent of Rs 15,000 for every instructor per thirty days, whereas the state authorities offers the remainder 10 per cent, Training Minister Lahkmen Rymbui mentioned. The agitating lecturers withdrew their agitation following the announcement.
