Meghalaya Chief Minister and National People’s Party (NPP) chief Conrad Sangma played guitar and sang songs at Loyola Academy in Hyderabad on Friday as he stressed the need to “channelise the potential of the youth” to take the country forward .

Speaking on the 43rd Annual College Day of Loyola Academy, Sangma said, “Youth is our biggest strength. If the potential of the youth is channeled in the right direction, they can prove to be an asset. However, if they are misled, the youth power of our country can be disastrous.

Lauding institutions like Loyola Academy for shaping young minds in the country, he said, “As political leaders, we must always communicate and engage with the youth and ensure that their true potential is realized. For the development of our nation, we have to depend on our youth.”

Sangma also met ITE and Telengana Communications Minister KT Rama Rao.

Elaborating on his discussion with Rama Rao on the Apple brand (mobile manufacturing company) and its business, which is close to USD 3 trillion, he said, “Apple is a company of about USD 3 trillion, and India’s largest Neither is GDP. 3 trillion… We have a population of over 1.2 billion. We, as a country, have to think and work together to take the country forward.”

He presented mementos to the staff, students and other members of Loyola Academy for their contributions and achievements in various academic fields.
