MCD Election Results: BJP wins all seats from AAP leader Satyendra Jain’s constituency

New Delhi: The BJP won all the seats in Satyendar Jain’s constituency, which includes wards 58, 59 and 60 – Saraswati Vihar, Paschim Vihar and Rani Bagh respectively. On the other hand, she has lost all the seats from BJP’s Adesh Gupta constituency. Delhi BJP’s Pant Marg office was buzzing with activity on Wednesday (December 7, 2022) despite the party continuing to trail AAP in the MCD polls. Aam Aadmi Party won 82 MCD wards, BJP 62 and Congress four till 12.00 noon, according to the State Election Commission’s update, as polling continued in 42 polling stations across Delhi.

Delhi BJP spokesperson Praveen Shankar Kapoor said, “We will have to wait for the final election results which will be in our favour. I am sure no one will touch the halfway mark. We will be in an advantageous position.” He claimed that failing to give AAP a clear halfway mark would send a message to the people of Delhi that they have rejected the party. Asked about Congress’s poll performance, he said, “Congress has done a good job and I congratulate Congress on their recovery.” In the context of 2020 elections, he said, “In 2020 elections, he got hardly four per cent votes and now when he is getting around 13-14 per cent votes, it is a good recovery for him and also a good sign for democracy.” Is.”

Close fight between AAP and BJP

Under tight security arrangements, the entire premises of the BJP office has been decorated in the colors of the Bharatiya Janata Party – orange and green. The MCD has 250 wards and the simple majority mark is 126. The counting of votes for the MCD elections held on December 4 began at 8 am on Wednesday amid tight security.
