New Delhi: India’s wicket-keeper batsman Rishabh Pant struggled to score runs in the T20I series against New Zealand and this raised many questions on his approach and temperament. the former India Batsman Robin Uthappa believes that the long time spent inside several bio-bubbles must have taken a toll on the mind and body of the India wicketkeeper. Uthappa suggested that Pant deserves a break from the game to regain his momentum.

“Rishabh has been on the road with the Indian team non-stop for a few years now. He has made himself available to play anything and everything without any complaints. Constantly living in a bubble makes you hollow. I am sure it also affects his performance on the field.”
“Maybe a lack of clarity or mental fatigue, it could be. He’s a top-class player and it’s just a matter of time before he comes back and hits the ball the way we know he can.” I think he deserves a little break to be away from cricket, Uthappa told ESPN Cricinfo.
