Lucknow: Bahujan Samaj Party President Mayawati Party general secretary SC Mishra said here on Tuesday that he will not contest the upcoming Uttar Pradesh assembly elections. Mishra said that he will not even contest the seven-phase state elections from February 10.
As elections are being held in many states including Uttar Pradesh as well as Punjab and Uttarakhand. for example: Mishra said that the President will not contest the elections and will help the party candidates win.
At present, Mayawati is neither an MLA nor an MP. Mishra is one Rajya Sabha Member.
BSP alone will contest all 403 seats in Uttar Pradesh.
