As India celebrates Holi on Wednesday, Pant wished his millions of followers on social media with an old picture of him celebrating the festival of colours.

“Bura na mano hai Holi !! Happy Holi to all. Pant tweeted on Wednesday, May the colors of Holi light up your life with happiness and wishes for all of you.

Pant will miss the upcoming season of the Indian Premier League and David Warner is expected to lead the Delhi Capitals in his absence. The Indian team management is hopeful that the 25-year-old will be fit in time for the ODI World Cup to be held in October-November this year.

India captain Rohit Sharma has admitted that the team has been missing the services of Pant, especially in Test cricket, given his ability to attack regardless of the conditions and match situation. Even the legendary Sunil Gavaskar, while on commentary duty during the Delhi Test, noted how Australia are lucky that Pant is not a part of India’s XI.

“Australia are lucky not to have Rishabh Pant. He would have a lot to say, not necessarily to the batsmen but certainly to his teammates. Rishabh, if you’re listening, we’re missing you, get well soon,” Gavaskar had said.

However, it is not clear when Pant will make a comeback.
