Nawaz Nawaz, Leader of the Pakistan Opposition and Vice President of the Pakistan Muslim League (PML-N) Maryam Nawaz Shariff on Saturday took a dig at Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan, suggesting that he should ‘go to India’. Sharif’s remarks came in response to Khan’s Friday address, where he praised India.

Citing the example of former Indian Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s resignation as per the Indian Constitution, when his government failed to secure a trust vote by a vote in the Lok Sabha (India’s lower house), Maryam hit out at Imran. “Planning and Conspiracy”.

Maryam wrote on Twitter, “A person who is no longer in his senses can’t be allowed to wreak havoc and bring down the entire nation. This is no joke. Him as PM or ex-PM Not to be considered, he should be treated as a psychopath who is taking the entire nation hostage just to save his skin. Shame.”

In his Friday address, Khan called upon India, praised the nation and said that no superpower can intimidate the country. He also emphasized his allegations of “foreign conspiracy” and said US officials were unhappy with his visit to Moscow.

The no-confidence motion has been placed fourth on the agenda for the day of the National Assembly. While the opposition has come down in full force, very few members of the Treasury Bench attended. According to the news of Geo News, Prime Minister Imran Khan was also not present in the house.

Voting on the no-confidence motion against Imran Khan is expected to begin after 8 pm tonight.
