Maoist shutdown peaceful in the state Ranchi News – Times of India

Ranchi: The bandh called by Maoists in Jharkhand’s North Chotanagpur, South Chotanagpur and Palamu divisions and Bihar’s Magadha division ended peacefully in the state on Thursday, though public transport services remained partially affected in many areas.

Commenting on the matter, Kishor Mantri, president of Ranchi Bus Owners Association, said, “The less number of buses were plying due to the fear of extremists and less number of passengers. The owners preferred not to send their vehicles to remote rural areas.”
