Many children of Goa go abroad for studies: CM Pramod Sawant | Goa News – Times of India

Panaji: Increasing numbers of Goa students are going Foreign To even pursue graduation, which is a “pleasant” trend, Chief Minister Pramod Sawant Said while addressing the class XII pass out in a webinar organized by the state on Sunday.
“After completing class XII, BA, BCom, BSc, MBBS or engineering are not the only options. There are many other options available to you in the state as well as in other parts of India and abroad. When I inquired recently, I came to know that many of our students go abroad for their undergraduate studies and I was delighted. I feel proud that our Goa Students are going to pursue different courses not only in other parts of India but also abroad,” Sawant said.
The online webinar was organized by the CMO and Directorate of Higher Education to introduce the class XII passed out students to the various career options available, apart from the obvious general streams.
“Discuss this with your parents and teachers and then decide on your career options. Apart from jobs, entrepreneurship options are also available to you,” Sawant said.
He said that career options are also available for those students who are unable to pass class XII due to any reason. “I congratulate all the students who have passed their 10th and 12th exams. If someone has not been able to clear them then they should not be disappointed. A supplementary exam is being conducted for them, which they can answer.”
