Manipur Elections 2022: Polling for Phase 2 to be held on March 5 – List of Constituencies

Manipur Election Phase 2 Assembly Constituencies: The voting for the first phase in Manipur is being held on Saturday i.e. March 5. Polling is going to be held in 22 assembly constituencies across six districts as the campaigning for the second phase ended on Thursday, March 3.

Around 8.3 lakh voters, including 425,192 women and 407,224 men, cast their vote in the second phase of Manipur Elections 2022.

The second phase of polling can be considered as a litmus test for former Chief Minister and Congress leader Ibobi Singh, former Deputy Chief Minister Gaikhangam, incumbent ministers Letpao Haokip (Sports), Losi Dikho (Public Health Engineering), Awangbo Numai (Forest). Thoubal, Nungba, Tenganoupal, Mao and Tamei constituencies respectively.

The second phase is expected to see a direct contest between the BJP and the Naga People’s Front in Chandel constituency, while the BJP and Congress will face off in Nungba. There will be a triangular contest in the five assembly seats of Khangabok, Wangjing-Tentha, Sugnu, Mao and Ukhrul.
