The petition had challenged the political worker’s preventive detention under the NSA, alleging that BJP leaders were “only” for their criticism of allegedly using cow dung and cow urine as a treatment for COVID-19. to punish them”.

The petition filed by the father of the political activist claimed that his son had posted on Facebook on May 13 that the cure for coronavirus is not cow dung and urine. The bench listed the matter for Tuesday when Solicitor General Tushar Mehta said he was not contesting the petition but would file a reply.
